Clinton’s War on Terror now available for Pre-Order

Ok folks, its finally here. After two and a half years in the research and writing, my third book is now available for pre-order. Clinton’s War on Terror: Redefining US Security Strategy 1993-2001 will be published by Lynne Rienner later this year, but you can secure your copy today by pre-ordering direct from the publisher by CLICKING HERE.

I’m very proud of the book, which details the manner in which the Clinton administration seeks to address counterterrorism strategy in the years immediately prior to the attacks of September 11, 2001. The book very deliberately places the Clinton years in a broad historic narrative, detailing the long history of political violence within the United States and explaining the administration’s deadly inheritance.

Over the course of 270 pages, Clinton’s War on Terror details the challenges facing the administration including domestic terrorism, cyberattacks, rogue states, and the growing threat from al-qaeda. It also reveals the development of various methods used to address these threats, including rendition and drone technology.

I hope that you’ll consider supporting my research and ordering a copy today.

Clinton’s Grand Strategy Lauded as ‘Excellent’

My first book, Clinton’s Grand Strategy, has been reviewed by the internationally recognised Journal of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) by the acclaimed academic, Professor John Dumbrell. The book, which addresses the development and implementation of US grand strategy in the immediate post-Cold War era, was lauded as being ‘excellent,’ and was praised for its ‘extensive interviews with former members of the Clinton administration.’

The review notes that, ‘Following Boys’ lead, we might indeed argue that contemporary debates within US foreign policy can usefully be studied through the lens of the Clinton years.’ This is, indeed, the focus of my continuing work and will be adopted in my forthcoming publication, Clinton’s War on Terror to be released by Lynne Rienner in 2018.

Clinton’s Grand Strategy may be purchased from Amazon.co.uk as well as from Amazon.com

As some of you know, along with my continuing research into the Clinton administration, I have been working on a project to compare and contrast the Nixon and Obama administrations and their use of wars of choice.

I am delighted that the second paper in this series has now been published and invite you to read it, along with the first paper and my other academic pieces HERE

I hope you find the work to be both interesting and challenging and welcome your thoughts.
